Why, Ray, why oh why do you want to have a blog???
Well, Ray… Funny you should ask. You see to have a clear understanding of your perspective I work on understanding my own perspective. There are so many ideas, thoughts, reflections, excursions, discourses, curiosities, and contemplations that pass me by, I simply must find a way of chronicling them into a shared awareness. We are shadows of each other, you and I. We come to self knowledge by looking at ourselves reflected from each other’s soul, and by experiencing ourselves being met by the other, welcomed, received, witnessed, held, responded to, reacted to.
I want to have a blog as a way of making words out of energetic, dynamic experiences, the interweaving of our attentions and intentions as we communicate within a diverse web of consciousness. I want to bump into new awarenesses and struggle to understand them, challenge my perspectives, evolve my underlying assumptions about you, me, life, and the experiences you and I have, moment to moment. I want to put words on my reflections and lay them on the floor as a mat upon which we will wrestle, you and I, trying new ways of moving, looking at different arguments, questioning the narrative, splitting hairs and pulling threads, throwing each other’s ideas up in the air and seeing what shape they make when they hit the mat again.
Ultimately, I want to expand my being and integrate the experience in a kind of grounding that reflective writing offers.
It is a kind of gift.
I want to have a blog because I want to offer you some gifts.
