Supervisor
My core training as a Supervisor is Cross-Professional, meaning that I am qualified and experienced in providing Supervision to Clinical and Cross-Professional practitioners across a range of different professions in both individual and group settings.
I have supervised professionals from health and social care professions including Psychotherapy, Counselling, Social Work, Social Care, Community Drugs Support, LGBTQIA+ Community Services, Nursing, and Community Network Development.
I take a Co-explorative Learning approach in my Supervision Practice that is at the same time Reflexive, Reflective, and Global – looking in, looking back, and looking around.
This allows for a reframing of complexities, encountering new options, and experimenting at the edges of new opportunities for transformative experience. It also invariably evokes self-directed development from Knowledge, through Experience, and on to Authority and Wisdom.
As a Supervisor, I support my Supervisees in maintaining responsibility for their own learning, moving through a cycle of Action – Awareness – Experimentation – Transformative Action. This complements the maturation of practitioners in working from self-orientation, through client/task-orientation, then into process-orientation, growing towards a process-in-context orientation.
Ultimately, I supervise practitioners in developing a high quality in their practice, maintaining healthy levels of self-care, and being both accountable and effective in their respective organisations and contexts.
